Brought my first revolver home today.
I decided it was time to add a revolver to my collection. I picked up a 4" Ruger GP 100. Reading through the posts on this forum was a big help. I was actually leaning toward the 686 but the Ruger was $160 cheaper and felt great in my hand. Can't wait to take it out this weekend.

I'm a S&W man but you made an excellent choice. The GP is a great gun and if it feels the best to you, you won't be disappointed. Shoot it often and well.

Great choice. My GP100 (mine is 6", but 4" is a great choice) is one of my favorite firearms. Beautiful fit and finish, accurate as heck, and if yours is anything like mine, a great trigger.
