Beretta mag. question

I have what looks like a 13 round mag. Says on the side-italy cal 9MM nato/lugar thought this was for my 92 compact, but will not go in far enough, only has one notch and is higher up on the mag. than the correct ones for my compact. Any idea what this fits? Terry

Possibly a Beretta 8000 (Cougar) mag. Only a guess, though.

Photos would probably help - a lot.
