Hens teeth...
Looking to do a project for my girls (3 of them) and cannot source what I need. I am looking for an old, beat up 10/22 but it appears they are like finding hens teeth. I may as well buy a new one and just use the receiver but that seems awfully wasteful. A new receiver is as much as a new rifle though.
Just wanted to complain a sec...carry on. Any ideas where to find one?

I've encountered the same issue. Your best bet may be to just buy the cheapest new 10/22 you can find at Wal-Mart, and sell off any parts you remove on Ebay. I've seen stock 10/22 barrels go for ~$40-$50 there, so you'll get back some of your money.

I am just amazed the people are slapping a $100 stock on them putting a cheap hicap mag with and selling for $400-700.
 Especially with all the unemployed bottom feeders grabbing up the .22lr ammo to resell at the flea market. I guess that is something to remember for the next shortage. |
