I have a Magnum Research handgun chambered in .30-06 which is close to the ballistics of your .308. For jacketed bullets I just use the given loads for bullet size in the Lyman Reloading Handbook #47. That manual has several loads that use the 4064 powder you have. You have more flexibility using cast bullets (since your weapon is not a gas gun) and the Lyman manual has lots of loads you can use there also, as does the Accurate Powder manual. Get the Manuals or at least look up your loads on the Lyman website, or the Accurate Site. Those websites are free and safe. Sometimes asking on the internet can get you answers which may not be safe in your particular weapon.

Try the 4064 and 760 before you go buying any "faster" powders. Even if you get some muzzle flash those are likely to give you excellent accuracy. Since you are looking at a 200 yard performance window 150gr bullets seem fine, and velocity doesn't need to be too hot to give you a good point blank zero for big game (even 2400 fps like a 30-30 has a MPBR around 250 yards).

IMR-4895 would probably work well for you with 150-165 Gr. bullets !
