My fav. load for .45acp. 3.8grs of Amer. Select, 200gr. LSWC, CCI primer with R P brass. 735 fps. C.O.L. 1.250, 2 1/4'' 5 shot group from a rest @25yds.
Shot from a SA ''RO'' 1911. My Gold Cup and SA Loaded are not quite as good with this load, but close enough for me. I'm just getting started with the .40S&W. 180gr LFP look promising with Unversal Clays powder. |

I get consistent 1" to 1-1/4" groups with three to four bullets holes touching each other out of both of my Smith Performance Center guns when I shoot five round groupings. One is a 1911 and the other is a 945. I load Lazer Cast 200 grain semi-wad cutters with 5.8 grains of Scott 1250, 1.240 COL and CCI primers. I have several pounds of Scott 1250 and a bunch of Solo 1000 for my wifes 9mm. Good stuff!
