308 barrel

Coming to the pro's again. Last fall i got a new Savage FVSS in a 308 . I am having this rifle turned into a bench rest model now,so any one have any idea how much the barrel and stock are worth. Barrel has 80 rounds down it,Stock was replaced the day it came home from the store.

When I searched for a replacement barrel, as you did you could pay on avg 300.00 and up and a replcmnt stock from for example stockystocks run and avg of 150.00 and up for a thumbhole, so factory would as 100.00 and up and stock if wood lam 65.00 but again it would depend just how much a consumer would want it and be willing to part from his money.

I'd see if I could unload the barrel for 125 (it is stainless and bull, two desirable features), and try for 75 for the stock. Or let someone talk you down to 175 for the set. You might be able to get more, but those are what I would consider fair prices.

I'll give ya $125 for the barrel. I have been looking for one of these to pop up for sale!
