M16 question
what is the standard barrel length of the Army issue M16 ?
Were they 20" ? |

The M16A2 was 20 inches.
According to everything that came up when I Googled "M16 Barrel length" is seems that A1 A2 and A3 were all 20 in. I'm sure there were variants that were different, but you asked about the standard ones. |

M-16s of all models are a 20" barrel
M-4 carbines are 14.5" |

the M16 is a 20" barrel, M4 is 14" and a lot of the civilian carbine ARs are 16" with a few 24" and 18" floating around.
