kimber aegis

I have the chance to buy a kimber aegis custom 2 with 300 rounds of ammo and custom grips.

Is it a good deal at 750.

What kind of ammo?
What kind of "custom grips"?

The stock grips are much nicer than black double diamonds but that sounds overall like a good deal. They are nice guns.

Our local FFL recently had a new one of those for a bit under $1100, so I would say that is a good deal if the gun is in good shape.

If, and I stress IF, it runs reliably it's a good deal. Kimber has had some QC issues in the past few years so I'd want to run the gun first before buying it. A lot of people only sell the guns they own that don't run well so you should always be suspicious of that when getting a used gun, particularly a Kimber made in the last 5 years or so.

Kimber had some issues awhile back, but the last 5 years weren't really the troublesome years. I sell a lot of Kimbers and I never really get much back with problems if at all. But I do agree that if it is possible to run the gun before the deal then do so, on any firearm.

I doubt you will have any problems with it, but if possible, I would shoot it first no matter what type of gun.
