Describe as "like new" Does this sound like a good deal or should i hold out and wait till a better deal comes around? Thanks |

$400 is too much, they can be had new for just under $450. I personally wouldn't take the risk of getting someone's jam-o-matic for $50 savings. Not saying he's selling it because it's a lemon, just a possibility to keep in mind when buying used. Offer $350 and see what he says.

Well they're selling new, shipped for $369 from Bud's, although you'd have to pay for the transfer too. So $400 doesn't sound very good to me.

budsgunshop.com I think is the URL
You can buy them online for much cheaper used AND new than the guy wants. CW9s are great pistols though. |

I have 2 Kahrs, and had a P9. I also have serveral friends with them. They all work very well. Friend of mine just picked up a new one for 450.00.

I have had a CW9 since August. It has been flawless. I paid $415 for it nib. I would recommend it highly. I also own a CW45m that needed the 200 round break in period but has been flawless since the break in. Con't know anything about the CW40 though.

New one on gunbroker right now for $350 and no reserve. With shipping and FFL dealer fee it would be $395 out-the-door. See webpage link below.

FYI, Bud's price includes shipping. I've had my CW9 since early summer and it has been flawless. Despite that, I have been throwing smoldering glances at the PM9 due to it's smaller size, and I've come close a couple of times, but backed off because of the price. I'm just not willing to pay that much money for 1/2" less of barrel, etc.
I'm glad I did. Now, with the introduction of the CM9, things are going to change, again. The CM9 is the same size as the PM9, but is supposed to cost a couple of hundred less. Kahr's approach is the same as it was with the CW series; less tool and finish work so cost can be kept down. It is supposed to be released in April (underscore supposed). And, while I will not sell my CW9, I may very well pick up the CM9 if it feels like a pocket gun. Just have to wait and see. |

I was attracted to the sleek, simplicity of it's looks. It should be a nice comfortable gun for me to carry here in the hot Florida summers.
http://www.kahr.com/360-views.asp The CW40 at Bud's is $366 at the moment.

CW9
Front sight is not adjustable Barrel is not polygonal rifling P9 polygonal rifling 2 times the money PM9 Smaller than the other two so it has a shorter sight radius polygonal rifling 2.5 times the money For the price the CW9 is a great gun with a great resale |

1 more vote for the little CW9. I've carried one for well over a year and put over a thousand rounds through it. No problems of any kind. It's a very well made pistol for a very nice price.

Perhaps wait a bit for the new CM9?
Its the smaller PM9, only its supposed to be much less expensive, similar to the way the CW9 is much less pricey than the P9. EDIT - oops, wrong Kahr thread - oh well, I'll leave it here anyway. ![]() |

+1 for the CW9; just traded my Taurus 709 Slim for one. Yeah, the one mag thing sucks, and I sent a note to Kahr on that one.
Great pistol; $400 too much. Asking price at a recent gun show here was $365. |

Beat him up on the price and ask for a range trip to put 50 rounds through it.
I have a new Kahr (CW45) and I've had one fail to eject in 200 rounds. I'm very happy with the quality of the firearm but I've heard everything from flawless to numerous issues during the first couple of hundred rounds and multiple trips to Kahr to get a fix from others. Having said this I think the $400 is too high. If you can get him down to under $350 with an uneventful range trip as a condition of sale it might be a good deal. |
