Lyman 49th and heavy loads??
I just picked up the Lyman 49th edition manual and I noticed that the "heavy" loads in the back are marked: TC contender & encore. they make no mention of Rugers(not the new vaquero of course). well I have a 45 colt blackhawk and Im wondering if these are the same loads and they just left Ruger off because of the confusion between the old and new vaquero? I assume so but when reloading better safe than sorry.
any thoughts |

Generally, the larger framed blackhawks were also included in the heavy loads for manuals in the past. You are correct that the newer midsized framed rugers should not have a steady diet of these loads.
