Very nice.

I have recently dropped a 24 lb recoil spring in my Kimber. Once I run a box of +P through her it should run nicely for accurate mag dump ability.

Can't blame ya. She spoils herself on shoes and bags so why not a holster?

Thanks, here's what we started with:

btw: I encourage anyone to buy and old Colt and make it a project gun.

It's fun and won't cost and arm and a leg.

I'm a big Commander fan myself. Really like the blued finsh w/stainless? controls. I like the arched MSH too.

Someone suggested stainless hex grip screws, so I tried a set from Ed Brown.

Very nice project! Being a fan of the CC, I love what you've done with. Personally, I liked the first grip screws you had on it vs. the hex stainless, but that what makes everyone different, right? I also like the stainless contrast bits. That is one purty Commander.

BTW, was it originally a .45 and you converted it to 9mm (I assume so)? I think I'd like a 9mm Commander.

Thanks for showing!

Combat Commanders were available from the factory in 9mm.

The side stamping makes it a factory 9mm Luger

Yeah, I lost my brain there for a bit. Of course, it was stamped on the slide...sheesh!

Gosh, what fun would it be without stupid posts, huh?
