Need an opinion on pricing a gun to sell
I am thinking of selling a pre 64 model 70 in .270 W.C.F. It is a transition grade from the pre-war model 70 to the more common pre-64. It is in decent shape with original parts.
Any ideas?? thanks. Nate |

Your best bet is looking at final sale prices on Gunbroker.com and Gunsamerica.com
I haven't looked at prices for Model 70s lately. Last time I did they started in the high 600 range and went up. |

The new blue book would be a good place to start because it will break down value by grade , caliber, etc.

The Blue Book s worth its weight in gold. Buy one if only to ogle at the weapons you'd love to own and never will, or pricing an old piece you're looking to sell. Amazon sells it for a not unreasonable price.

I wouldn't fool with a bluebook. If you go to gunbroker.com and click on "guns sold" you'll find what your gun is selling for in the real world.
