45 Colt bullets

Not long ago I ordered some .452 cast 225 grain lead round nose flat points from lazerblazer out of PA to load in 45 Colt and I weighed 10 to see how uniform they were. Not one weighed 225gr., in fact the lightest was 230gr and 2 weighed 230, 2 at 232, 1 at 233, 2 at 235, 2 at 236, and 2 at 238 and rough cast so I had to chuck them in my Dremel collet and spin with 0000 steel wool to smooth out the surface. Not what I figure will be accurate. Anybody else have problems like this?
I have used Missouri Bullet and Trueline for cast before with no problems.

Cast is just Cast

I like Hunter Supply bullets from Midway in 275gr. No cast bullet or jacketed bullet is going to weigh the same. The question is - do they shoot well. If so, life is good.

My Bergers are spot on. Generally you get what you pay for. I would not worry about pistol bullets being a couple grains off...as said above they will shoot just fine. Load 'em and shoot 'em! Good luck!

Sounds like they did not go through a sizer. Call em up and ask em what's the deal? Bullets rarely weigh what they are marked. Can you measure the diameter?

.45 Colt cast

I checked 3 with my digital verier caliper. Left-.454 Center .450 Right .453
I load for Ruger Blackhawk Stainless and Puma Carbine with Herco and 2400
I have a digital photo but cannot figure how to attach it here - sorry for the ineptness. I have reloaded for 32 years and have not had bullets like these, so back to MBC and Trueline

Sounds like I need to blow them out of the Ruger and go another way for the Puma carbine - thanks guys, steamroller
