Young ladies first time shooting
We had a wonderful day shooting.
My niece had never shot any kind of gun before today. We started her out with a .22 auto then a BDA .380 (one round in mag.) Then she got to try the real guns ![]() ![]() A 44 flint pistol and then an 1858 army. She also tried out the Ruger LCP and P97DC ,45acp Her favorite of the day was the cap-ball then the BDA .380 Her Dad's favorite was the C&B also. This young lady is majoring in psychiatry. This is a link to my favorite picture of her shooting today. The fire can be seen in this shot ![]() http://www.Nashwauk.net/june9.html

My first HG experiance was with a Browning BDA .380, I was 9 Y/O.
It felt like a fire breathing dragon at the time. ![]() That 1858 sure lives up to the non-smokeless name...good to see new ladies involved. |

Two years ago, I taught a class of twelve young ladies as part of a program known as "The Outdoor Woman". Most had not shot anything and at my station, we were teaching M/L's. Women make excellent students as they mostly leave their egoes at home and really interesting in learning a new skill. One lady could hardly wait to shoot and another got so nervous about it that afterward, she cried. It was one of the most rewarding days I have ever had, teaching M/L's. In promoting a pro gun attitude or at least reveal the truths, get the ladies shooting. The media always covers the negative side of gun usage and seldom the positive. I salute your teaching efforts.
