50th Anniversary 44 Mag customization.

I'm looking for a good custom gunsmith to shorten my 50th Anniv. 44 Ruger Flat Top to 5 7 1/2"; similar to the Lipsey .44 Spl. I'd also like to get an action job and trigger re-work as well. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Many thanks in advance. Rodfac

For custom revolver work, especially Smiths and Rugers,
David Clements - Clements Custom Guns. He has done 3 projects for me, Restoring a butchered Smith 58, Converting a Smith 28 and a Ruger BH .357 - both to 44 special. The Blackhawk included a change from 6.5" bbl to the 4 5/8". None better in my book.

Why not buy a shorter barrel and save the original. It would cheaper to have a new one installed and if you don't want the longer barrel, maybe exchange it for part of the payment.
The trigger is something you can by yourself. A Blackhawk is simple to take down and some minor polishing and changing of springs and you have a custom at 1/3 the cost.
