Jokr,,,you can go to walmart and pick up a bluing touch up kit. Use fine steel wool to get the rust off the gun and then alcohol to insure its very clean and degreased. The blue kit will have instructions.
Or...it might be the time to consider your very own "custom" paint job ![]() |

Buy some Gunkote from Brownells... It's a super tough bake on finish.. Comes in all sorts of colors... I'd do matte black.

Before you start thinking about making it look good again, you need to stop the acidic corrosion process. Remove the stock and field strip the rest of it. Soak the metal parts in a baking soda/water solution. Brush the parts, rinse with clean water, dry, oil and then start thinking about making it look again.
The baking soda and water solution will neutralize the acids. Also, it's not just the acid liquid that will corrode stuff. The vapors will do a good job of rusting too. (Your rear site?) While you're at it, you need to check your car trunk. The acid will rust it out. Keep your powder dry, Mac. Tuff-Gun Finishes. The Name Says It All. Mac's Shootin' Irons http://www.shootiniron.com |
