Lawdog, more is comming. When do you say, enought!!
FULL ALERT www.calnra.org FULL ALERT AB-273 Licensing and Registration Bill on the Move ======================================= Commentary from the CRPA www.crpa.org AB273: A Predecessor To Confiscation! PLEASE DISTRIBUTE WIDELY SENATE APPROPRIATIONS COMMITTEE HEARING AUGUST 7TH or 8th WRITE, FAX AND CALL SENATE APPROPRIATIONS COMMITTEE AND GOVERNOR DAVIS - 916-445-2841 916-445-4633 fax AB273 was greatly expanded in June to become the single most oppressive bill to lawful firearms owners of the current legislative year. Although its provisions are massive, its goals can be briefly summarized as follows: l)To make the acquisition of a handgun by anyone except law enforcement personnel very difficult. 2) To register all handguns in California and 3) to require licensing of individuals who are "allowed" by the government to own a handgun before one can even be acquired! It is obvious from the debates in legislative hearings and comments from the supporters of AB273 that if it were to become law, they would immediately introduce follow up legislation to extend its coverage to all rifles and shotguns as well. AB273 is a key component of the long range goal of liberal extremists to ban entirely the private ownership or possession of any firearm! It is a prime example of why the elections in November are so critically important!! AB273 will be set tor hearing in the Senate Appropriations Committee sometime between August 7th and the 8th SENATE APPROPRIATIONS COMMITTEE Snail mail address for the governor and senators Senator or Governor ____________________ State Capitol Sacramento, CA 95814 Patrick Johnston. Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient Causes; and accordingly all Experience hath shown, that Mankind are more diposed to suffer, while Evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the Forms to which they are accustomed. But when....
The history of REPEATED Injuries and Upsurpations, all having in direct Object the Establishment of an ABSOLUTE TYRANNY over these states. We are far from "ABSOLUTE TYRANNY", so I think you should cool down. I am also oppressed by the peoples republik of kalifornia, so Im in the same boat.Civil disobediance and armed revolution are two very differnt things. As to your millions of armed marchers, read the top part about people tolerating sufferage and there is your answer why it wont happen, Jefferson called it a long time ago. Though it might just be me, but Germans should be the last ones to decide to lock n load, seeing how things have gotten out of hand just a bit in the past, however thats just MHO. Jolly Roger, don't forget a lot of members here havent experienced the cuting edge of gun control as californians have. Give it a little thought, if you live up in Idaho or Wyoming were very little oppression is on or about you, you will more likely tolerate some abuse in a state thousands of miles away and wonder how that screwed up state got that way, and try an impove your state so it wont be infected with "liberal" ideas like california. When and if the issue reaches Critical Mass it could very well be here in Kalifornia, but as I see it, it would be a small group or a couple people that set off a storm of protest as is usually the case. If gun owners were cohesive enough to march in the millions they would have voted in the millions and kicked the treasonous politicians to the curb by now. It is a romantic thought but not very realistic. [This message has been edited by oberkommando (edited August 03, 2000).] |
