Help removing AK47 front sight assembly.

Hi.

I'm trying to remove the entire front sight assembly from a Romanian SAR-1 AK47 and am having difficulty.

I have punched out the two pins but the sight won't budge. I've tried tapping with a hammer, letting oil penetrate. Nothing works.

So, what am I missing?

Thanks guys but I finally got it off. It turned out to be a 2 person job. One had to hold the gun while the other gripped the sight base with pliers and twisted it around the barrel.
