Based on current Alliant data; http://www.alliantpowder.com/reloade...18&bulletid=47 it shows 6.3grs of Blue Dot for a 158gr LSWC for .38 spl +P Starting at 5.5gr for a 170ish gr bullet sounds agreeable but 7.3gr for a max seems a bit much. Adventurer 2 what is the source of the data and how old is it ?
Salvadore what gun will you be shooting these loads through ?

I guess it should be stated - NEVER start with a max load. Start low and check the brass for to much pressure before moving up. If your brass makes it to the max load - NEVER increase past it.

It's for a mod 60 .357, crimped correctly it is too long in the .357 brass. I thought 7.5gr would be a safe load to start with but could find no confirmation.
