777 magnums

Anybody heard anything about these; http://www.hodgdon.com/tripleseven/t7magnum.php ?

I wonder if they are just bigger 777 pellets or a new formulation? The website list 2 of these pellets as max charge. Wonder how they will be priced?

Please don't bash me for using these new-fangled BP substitutes.

777 magnum pellets

There is a test of different powders in the October issue of the American Rifleman magazine. The author list the magnum pellets as being 75gr. pellets. The chart shows two of the magnum pellets producing a velocity of 1850 fps. using a 245gr. Hornady SST sabot.Three 50gr. pellets using the same equipment produced 2106 fps.The test used 10 or 11 different powders and was about velocity and pressures, not much info. about accuracy.
