I recently built a Savage in 6.5x47 Lapua and I used a Shilen prefit barrel from Midway. ($299) So far I have 80rds through it with a .211" group and
a .311" group @ 100 yds. Many many others under .5" but I dig those under or very close to .25". Check Midway for many diffent barrel options (both prefits and blanks) and you could also check Brownell's. Another great source for information would be savageshooters.com, but there is a $12 membership fee. (Well worth it in my opinion.) Good luck! |
