Possum Hollow Rules!

After a ton of reading, and realizing that i can't justify a Giuard trimmer (altho i want one bad) i purchased the PH Kwick Case Trimmer, adjusted the cutter for length, chucked it in the Sinclair power attachment, and fired up the drill press.

I placed a tray of .223 on the drill press table, used two hands to feed the cases into the trimmer, and when done, dropped the cases down the hole in the press table to the waiting tray.

Used the Sinclair to hold my Forster deburr tool and flew though inside and outside tasks in separate operations in good time.

The operation wasn't bad on the hands, left the cases in fine shape, and provided me with a me an affordable solution to trimming my .223 cases.

here's the quick description

"The Kwick Case Trimmer is designed to trim cases either by hand or under power. The case trim length is set by the case indexing off of the datum of the case's shoulder in a similar manner to the way a case headspace gauge works. This eliminates the need for shellholders and pilots, speeds up the trimming process, and makes for a good field tool to keep in your range box. Trim length is adjustable. By inserting the Kwick Case Trimmer into a Sinclair Deburring Tool Holder you can trim under power.

Thanks for posting your experience with that tool. I've never tried it. I've always preferred the idea of trimming off the headspace datum, as the Gracey and the Giraud do. That is, after all, what determines how far the case neck actually goes into the chamber neck.
