Im reading that bullets use wax...or something to coat them to prevent fouling or something...How neccesary is this for .223 and .243 and how do you coat the bullets when reloading?

A jacketed bullet does not need and should not have any such coating. This is for lead cast bullets, but someone more knowledgeable in that particular dept. should be able to go into more specific details of that for you if you need it.

Some of the time, lead bullets already come with a coating of lube, either over the whole bullet, or sometimes just the grooves.
Otherwise you can buy it: http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpag...eitemid=192684 |

The stick of lube in that midway link goes into a sizer like the Lyman 4500. It sizes and applys the lube into the groves only. |
