You have got to be x!>?!*o9t kidding me! The Secretary of the Treasury is now a gun expert. I suppose that if this were to pass and God forbid a child were to be shot be another child using one of these 'forbidden' guns, the Secretary of Treasury be held accountable for the act. Yeah, right.

Your missing the Point... the BIG point. > any firearm that is not approved by the Secretary.< Meaning he has to make a list of "approved" firearms. Not like, as of late, "unapproved" ones. This in could result in a list of a very limited list along the lines of "12 gauge S/S O/U Shotfuns, 30-30 Lever Action Rifles, and .22 Single Action Revolvers". These they could claim (temporarily of course) have "ligetimate" hunting applications. ALL ELSE.... EVERYTHING THAT IS... not falling within that criteria would be ILLEGAL!! WE MUST STOP THIS BILL AT ALL COST!!!! ------------------ Schmit, GySgt, USMC(Ret) NRA Life, Lodge 1201-UOSSS "Si vis Pacem Para Bellum" |

Yes, Ed. It appears that all peaceful avenues of redress are being closed...

John,
I had that same thought... actually, that thought has been keeping me awake at night for the last several months. Our rights are consistently ignored. Our desires are consistently ignored. The facts of gun ownership are consistently ignored. Peaceful resistance has gotten us absolutely nowhere. We tell the politicritters, "Hey, you can't do that!", and they say, "Oh yeah? Watch us!" How far do we have to be pushed before we start pushing back? ------------------ "Quemadmoeum gladius neminem occidit, occidentis telum est."
