Georgia Firearms License 60+ Days
I know it's generally frowned upon here to link to another forum but I'm hoping I'll get a pass on this one.
This issue personally affects me and my family. In short if you live in Georgia, have applied for your license and it has taken a long time the NRA wants to hear from you! http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=202044 I'm posting the original thread as to not attempt to take credit from the person on THR who originally thought to post it. |

My wife and I live up in Pickins County, North of Atlanta by about 60-70 miles. It took us just about an hour to get BOTH of us a CCW. We went to the courthouse, filled out the applications, drove to the jail, got ourselves fingerprinted and the background check run, drove back to the courhouse, and finished up the paperwork.
The system in place does NOT require any extended period. I'm supposing that the same politicians who bring us the debacle called Atlanta, or Cobb and Fulton Counties, are responsible for the decidedly anti-gun stance evidenced around those parts. It's also the most violent area of the state. Go figure.:barf: |
