Woo-hoo!

Well I got myself a new-to-me Sig P226 today. I got it from a deputy I know, who got it from a Lieutenant for the DOT. It's been sitting in his safe for a while 'cuz he has 3 other Sigs. It doesn't seem to have been fired much and aside from a small ding on the bottom of the mag well and a little holster wear, it's beautiful. I paid $400 for it with the Sig case, all paperwork including test target from factory, 1 Mecgar mag, 1 Sig mag, one anonymous mag and 40 rounds of Federal 115gr +P+ ammo. It was made in '94 in germany. I had to talk the wife into letting me get it but it was worth it. On a sadder note, I don't think I'll be getting to shoot it much. The first thing out of the wife's mouth when she saw it was "You finally bought a pistol that's small enough for me to shoot!" Oh well, that just gives me an excuse to buy another gun for her to shoot so I can have mine.

Glad to hear that your wife likes the Sig. Sounds like a good reason to get yourself another one!

Would if I could. She has hinted that she wants a new gun...

Does anyone happen to know where I could get some new grips for the 226, other than Pachmayr or Hogue?

If you really like the 226, get her a 239. hpg
