What does the term "fire lapping" mean in terms of rifle or pistol barrels? Thanks. Doc

Fire lapping is the process of coating a number of bullets with various sizes of abrasive material and firing them in your gun. You start with the more coarse material and work down to the finer stuff. Of course, the exact selection of material will depend on the condition of your barrel. Neco sells a complete kit to firelap a barrel, and I'm sure others do to.

THE BEST kit on the market today is called the "Final Finish". Go to www.jarheadtop.com and read the article under the title.
