Which gun would you choose for front pocket carry?

Which would you choose and why?

TFL has been down for a while, so I guess we should start beating some old horses at the newly opened site!

After using J-frames for years, I've gone over to the Colt Agent (D-frame, aluminum frame). I like the extra shot, and it carries just as well.

Kel-Tec P-3AT. It's small, flat, doesn't print easily and advancments in the last few years have gotten the .380 up off its knees. Not my first choice for a primary, but works nice as a BUG.

Right now I carry a S&W 342, or a P-3AT when that won't work. BUT... I have my order in for a Rohrbaugh R-9s.

Rohrbaugh

Gator, what can you tell us about that Rohrbaugh? I thought they were going to be pretty pricey. Let us know how it shoots when you get it.

I choose "other": Kel-Tec P11.

Question: Not intending to hijack, but why do people prefer the P-3AT or 32 over the P11?

Kahr PM9/PM40

I have a Kahr MK-9 that fits wonderfully well. The PM line would be lighter, thus even better.

I love my little P32.

Now when I send it back for the chrome slide exchange then I'll really be in business. Should be back around the time that I get back from Ft. Lewis.

What: S&W 340PD. Loaded with "lite" 357s or 38+Ps.

Why: Its light. Its snag free. It fits. It is reliable

(First "return post" )

Other: When the wardrobe situation necessitates a change from my 1911, it will be my Kel Tec P-11 (9mm) in a Lou Alessi pocket holster. I may not be too pleased with leaving the .45 at home, but 10 rounds of 9mm JHP doesn't leave me undergunned.

I currently carry a s&w 642, but am planning on adding a kahr pm9 to my carry rotation this summer. When walking around during day to day activities, I love the j-frame, but would like something a little thinner when Im at work.

The Rohrbaugh looks very interesting, but for now I carry my trusty EG Makarov.

It depends on the pants or shorts. If a belt can be worn the the small .38 revolver. If they are more like sweatpants or shorts with with a drawstring then the keltec would probably be a better fit.

Guess I need to go buy a Keltec and do some scientific testing.

P9Carry: How much does the R9S weigh?

I voted "Other".

I carry a Bond Arms Derringer in .45 colt loaded with RCBS .45 colt Bond Super ammo.

Yeah - I know only two shots - but it is two reliable, big old thumpin' shots that I am accurate with...

Currently I carry a PM9, but I'd love to get one of the Rohrbaugh R9's.

I own both the PM9 and the P32. I realize that with the price of the Kahr PM9 being much higher than the P32 they should not be compared to each other. However, I carry the PM9 in my pocket, not the P32.

I don't know what I should do with the P32. I will probably sell it. This will be my first gun to be sold.

I carry the Kel Tec P3AT, so that's what I chose...but I would prefer the NA Guardian .380 or even the larger SIG P232.
