quick question about measuring groups

when you guys measure group size, do you measure from center to hole, to center of hole, or from center of hole to outside edge. thanks, Dan.

Simplest is to measure across to the outer edges of the farthest bulletholes, and subtract one diameter.

Since center to center leaves a little guess work ("Is that perfectly centered??"), I normally measure from left side to left side of the 2 bullet holes farthest apart.

There are three acknowledged measurement methods I'm aware of to determine group size. Maximum Spread, Average Group Radius, and String Measurement.

This is the most commonly used method.

Maximum Spread: Measure to the extreme outside edges of the furthest apart bullet holes of the group, and then subtraction the actual bullet diameter.
