1897 Winchester
I have just been handed an Uncles 1897 Winchester takedown model which has been sorely neglected in a closet for a very long time. Where might I find COMPLETE teardown instructions, parts nomenclature/etc. and even possible hysterical reference data on dates of manufacture?
Thanks for any help |

Thanks for the repair shop link, however, they do not have the information requested online. I will give them a call tomorrow to see if available.

What historical information are you looking for? Maybe I can help. With the serial # you can get an approximate manufacture date. Also the best tear easily accessible tear down instructions I have found are the Radocy Takedown guides. They are available through Midway USA, at gun shows, Barnes and Noble, and I have even seen them at Gander Mtn and some of the larger gun shops that have good book shelves.
