Campaign Finance Control--Are you laughing as hard as I am ???

<Rant Mode On>

Campaign Finance Control will be voted on by the house this week.

I get the biggest kick out of elected officials, predominantly spinelessrepublicans, who get all lathered up over the blatantly unconstitutional provisions. I get an even bigger kick out of "conservative talk radio" and how the world is now threatened because the first amendment is now under full scale attack.

Pardon me while I puke! :barf: I feel much better now.

Where were all those constitutional scholars when those self-same spinelessrepublicans were gang-banging the second amendment?

Where were the breathless pronouncements of doom on the constitution when every day some elected representative introduces legislation that is clearly an "infringement" on the RKBA? Why are "conservatives" bitching about the harassment of controlling political ads, yet we here at RKBA-city put up with mindboggling harassment day in and day out. Why are "conservatives" bitching about how they can be made a criminal simply by engaging in political speech 60 days before an election when those in RKBA-city are presumed to be criminals and treated as such?

Why are these people now loudly proclaiming it is unconstitutional to regulate a constitutional right? Do these people have any clue what RKBA-city endures on a routine basis?

Where are those scholars who lament the house version of campaign finance control is constructed so as to make the supreme court strike down part of the proposed law yet allow the remained stand up? Don't they understand that the tactic of the de-constructionalists of our society is to throw bones which attracts the court's attention but allows the really bad stuff to pass through. Don't they know how gradualism works?

Why are our new constitutional experts so confident that if a campaign finance control bill is passed into law it will therefore be promptly struck down by the supreme court? Don't they know the SC ain't gota do nothin'? Don't they know the SC studiously avoiding ruling on RKBA? More importantly, if everyone knows a law is unconstitutional why in the h*ll are they voting for it and why is the president going to sign it?

It is clear to me as never before those who support RKBA have fought a lonely war in which only the combatants know what is going on. What is clearly predictable to me seems to be really new news to those who support free political speech.

Why are our newly minted constitutional experts in the first amendment not smart enough to see the pattern of attack on the first amendment is the same pattern of attack that is successfully used against the second amendment? I'll tell you why. 'Cause their ox ain't yet been gored!

Now lets listen to the howls of protest. Just keep in mind people. You are now the target of the same forces the proponents of RKBA fought now for 3 decades. What pisses me off is we will most likely come to your defense while you did nothing to aid us in our defense.

<Rant Mode Off>

I repeat: As goes the second amendment, so goes the constitution.

:barf:
