M1 ball clone for garands
Preliminary results of my garand M1 ball clone loads.
Intended to get ~2700fps mv and sub 2 moa accuracy. Each pic has the powder used along with charge and actual MV according to Labradar. All projectiles were 175gr smk. Rifle used was my MC-1/M1952 garand with 4x scope unmodified and in USGI configuration Fired at 100yds from supported position. |

It's amazing what results you can get when you put a rifle together the right way.
A good tight stock is a must. Second is having a good handload ...I'd say 2 of the 5 posted show great results. I have a few other powder combos I'm going to play with but these two and my reliable varget load certainly pass the 2 moa requirement. |
