Sig Sauer Romeo RS Compact for EDC - real world feedback needed
I'm considering the Sig Sauer Romeo RS Compact for my everyday carry setup. The specs look solid on paper - 6 MOA dot, auto-brightness feature, and advertised shock resistance. However, I'm having trouble finding detailed reviews from people who've actually carried and used this optic extensively.
For those who have experience with this particular model, I'd appreciate hearing about your real-world impressions. How does the auto-brightness perform when moving between dark and bright environments? Is the battery compartment design convenient for regular maintenance? Most importantly, has it proven durable enough for daily carry and range use? While I've found the technical specifications helpful during my research, I'm much more interested in hearing about practical experiences from long-term users before making a decision. |

I can’t give you a direct answer to your question but I can offer my thoughts…
First off, since this is a very new optic I doubt that anyone has spent enough time with one yet to provide any meaningful real world assessments. Second, personally I wouldn’t trust my safety to a “new and improved” commodity without having some practical rear view mirror experiences to draw from. When it comes to HD/SD/EDC choices I want as near to 100% certainty that my chosen equipment and ammunition will function as expected when it counts. This optic doesn’t currently scream near certainty to me. My 2₵ |
