Beretta 1935 Magazine Question

Hi, i am new to the board. I searched a bit to see if this had been covered in another string, but did not find one.

I have a R Beretta Cal 7.65 - Brevettata Gardone VI 1944. It is a Beretta 1935.

My question, I have seen two different styles of magazines for these. Are they interchangeable.

I have (hopefully) attached two pictures of the different types. I own the type on picture A. Would like to know if B will work in my pistol.

Thank you so much.

Mine is a Beretta 1934, date stamped 1943; mine has 1 mag with the steel finger grip; still functions perfectly, BUT the slide bite to the web between my thumb and forefinger is horrendous!

OP,
Type A magazine is a late war production magazine with a stamped steel floor plate
Type B is a pre war or early war magazine with a milled steel floor plate.
If sized for the 7.65 mm X 17 cartridge, both will work. I've actually tweaked the feed lips on Beretta Model 1934 9 MM Corto mags to function in my Beretta Model 1935 7.65 mm

Thanks Gary,

That agrees with info I had found online about the two different mags.

https://www.tague.at/pistolen/en_ind...eretta1935.htm

So, it sounds like the older mag (B) will work interchangeably. That's great. I appreciate your help.

Regards. Bobby

Well, I did end up ordering a magazine as pictured in my "B" photo. My original is as pictured in the "A" photo. I can say with certainty that the magazines are interchangeable. They physically fit and I also fired several rounds through it to make sure.

Regards. Bobby
