I just ran across indiewire.com today. They are primarily an "entertainment" web site covering movies, TV and celebrities but they had several articles dealing with gun control too. Surprise, they are for tougher gun control. Actually surprising is there is some push back to their articles in the comment section of the articles.

Here's four of their articles about gun control.
----------------------------------------
1. Jodie Foster on Gun Control-she'd like to see all guns in the hands of robots rather than people. (Note: Jodie Foster shamelessly uses guns in her movies..."The Brave One"

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2. "I [Karl Jacob] personally would love to see assault weapons disappear from gun shelves altogether. If someone wants a military grade weapon, they should join the military. It really should be that simple."

One of his movies "Cold November" actually promotes deer hunting in Minnesota (my home state). Despite the guy's politics the movie sounds interesting.

3. The NRA used a "Parks and Recreation" meme and the response from the cast and crew of the show was quick and obscene and incorrect. The only response I can repeat here without being censored is "Our good-hearted show and especially our Leslie Knope represent the opposite of your pro-slaughter agenda". (AFAIK the NRA has no 'pro-slaughter' agenda. In fact after Sandy Hook they put together a 200+ page report on school safety and how to avoid such occurences in the future.)

4. "Your time signing checks in our blood is up,” wrote members of the just-launched No Rifle Association in an open letter to the NRA's executive vice president." Guess what? There are a lot of celebrities that are anti-NRA. This is probably not news to anyone but they have formed a group NoRA to actively oppose the NRA.

And the reason someone would give any credibility to people who are grossly overpaid to play parts in make-believe films, having significant time on their hands to try to remain in the public eye by taking up a cause-de-jur is.....?
