Have you heard about the web site called "The Gun Wire" it is a great site that aggregates a lot of information posted around the Internet, every day. I've been reading it now for several months, and really enjoy it.

It is the "Drudge Report" for all things firearms.

Check it out here:

Lots of stupid gun usage on the site as well as RKBA positive. Interesting.

Ther is another newer site that isn't really about news. It's called Gunway and it's a little like Pintrest for Guns. A little eye candy.

Hey guys, and gals, just wanted to give a big shout out again for the fantastic gun news aggregation site, "The Gun Wire." It has become my favorite news web site and provides a full range of gun related articles and videos, the good, the bad and the ugly.

You owe it to yourself to bookmark this site:

Here's a pic of the home page. Nothing fancy, just the facts.

Lots of anti-gun stuff. Countering "comments" don't seem to make it through the approval stage. I call BS on the site.

Oh, give me a break. You are so full of ... baloney.

The site reports the good, bad and ugly. If you want "fan boy" treatment, go visit the NRA site and stick your head in the sand.

Get a grip and get a clue.

Seriously.

I've only browsed around a little bit, but I don't think that your comments are being vetted by "Gun Wire". If you're reading and commenting on an article from say, the Salt Lake City Tribune", the article itself as well as any comments on the article, are being hosted by the SLC Tribune, not Gun Wire. Gun Wire just appears to be a news aggregate site.

Bingo....precisely.

I have no idea how people come up with such ridiculous accusations. But, as they say, the interesting thing about common sense, it is that it is so uncommon.

I got an PM from Armsdorf calling me an idiot for what I posted about Gunwire. The idiot part may be true. But Gunwire is heavily into anti-gun links and misinformation without linked substantive rebuttal or balancing editorial perspective:

Where to draw the line on ownership of firearms (http://www.reporterherald.com/opinion/editorial/ci_21182546/where-draw-line-ownership-firearms)
It's way too easy to get an assault weapon in U.S. (http://www.rgj.com/article/20120728/OPED02/307280028/It-s-way-too-easy-get-an-assault-weapon-U-S-?nclick_check=1)
Gun control positions not as rigid as you might expect (http://www2.journalnow.com/news/2012/jul/28/sexton-gun-control-positions-not-as-rigid-as-you-m-ar-2472135/)
Gun Rights and Wrongs—A Search for Common Values (http://www.uticaod.com/blogs/x2056396169/Gun-Rights-and-Wrongs-A-Search-for-Common-Values)
Guns more likely to cause accidents than save lives (http://www.dailycamera.com/letters/ci_21173419/barb-adams-guns-more-likely-cause-accidents-than)
Assault weapons ban is needed (http://www.thespectrum.com/article/20120727/OPINION/307270004/Assault-weapons-ban-needed?nclick_check=1)
Women Do Not Need Guns to Protect Themselves From Rape
(http://www.policymic.com/articles/11857/women-do-not-need-guns-to-protect-themselves-from-rape)

Those are nowhere near all the anti-gun links on the page—mostly featured in red—and it's only one day's reading of the Gunwire splash/home page. There is no "About Us", no stated editorial policy, the communication vector is one way, them to you, no email address, no "Contact Us", except to give them a "tip". However, there is bait—chum—in the form of articles about popular firearms, especially, it seems, the ones "there is no reason to own." The site gets attention and memberships, firearm enthusiasts' and firearm owners' contact info. Phishing.

So, Armsdorf, this idiot isn't buying your vitriol toward me or suggestion of sending me to the NRA to put my head in the sand. And I'm calling BS on Gunwire as a false flag operation. There are no articles or opinions that I've seen linked on that same page to offset the anti gun stuff. The term "Assault Weapons" is misused and not explained. Add to that the "news aggregation site, The Gun Wire." shows up verbatim in a number of different sites (139). So does the graphic that plays on the UN Small Arms Treaty falling apart:

http://cyberbrethren.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/gunwire-500x277.jpg

That, fellow forum members, is an agenda driven campaign. Common sense my butt, Amsdorf, It's an aggregated collection of aggravation, a flank attack on the Second Amendment. I may be an idiot but I'm not stupid.

You want reasonable, see if you can come back with something besides a diversionary ad hominem insult. I've made some points here. Can you counter them or do you want to continue name calling? I surely hope so.

I'm sorry, but I have no response to invincible ignorance.

Here's an idea...go to the sight, use the "send us a tip" link and contact the site owner.

If, in fact, you are interested in facts.....

That's quite enough of that nonsense.
