does anybody know if a barrel configured for model 10/110 can be put screwed into an axis/edge? I can pickup one of these rifles cheap and build the caliber I want (358 Win.). Any info is appreciated. Thanks.

Yes you can from what I've read. However, I feel the Axis is a bad choice for a donor action. I'd look around for a Stevens 200 as a starter action or better yet find an Accutrigger model Savage rifle in any SA cartridge from 22-250 and up. You can get better options using a Stevens 200 or Savage rifle for your build, like improved recoil lug, aftermarket stocks, and more trigger options out there for the Stevens and Savage.
If you use the Axis you'll be stuck with the one stock choice for now. The recoil lug is built into the stock and not attached to the action, so I really don't like that. As far as triggers go, only aftermarket trigger is the Rifle Basix trigger from what I've found. I don't think the Axis is made in different length actions just different sized magazines, so if you were to rebarrel one I'd probably go .35 Whelen if you are going to use a long action anyway.
