I was reflecting on my Savage Model 12 - .22-.250, after a trip to the range this weekend.

If you haven't had the opportunity to shoot this rifle, it's a real treat. The recoil is soft and slow (somewhat pleasant actually). The rifle is deadly accurate, reaching out 200 yards with little drop, and 300 yards requires just a little adjustment.

That's all. I just wanted to share if anyone is looking for an excellent target/varminting rifle.

ps

It's topped off with a Leupold VX-I 4-12x40mm (LR Duplex)

Sounds like a nice piece. My M98 22-250 is topped with a 4.5X-14X Leupold. Very similar. I can see why you are so enthused by it.
