Plagirizing runt_of_the_litter's graphic technique

ROTL made this graphic a while back. I tried the same thing with my favorite 22...results aren't perfect but I'll share them anyway.

First pic was done with a flatbed scanner!

Second hand, no, not wifey. I plan to ask for the hand in the top photo, though.

I apologize...I was lookin' at the gun and not the hand. Very nice hand.... nice nails too...my wife does her nails constantly...that's why she doesn't play basketball and won't throw the football with me.

impressions...
First pic done by artist with tech skills.
Second pic done by technician with artistic skills.

I think Runt's has more emotional impact but the photographer/engineer in me says that Oleg flat out nailed it

Plagirizing runt_of_the_litter's graphic technique?

As probably the most plagiarized artist in the RKBA web community (I have several modified Volks I didn't put up on my wallpaper page ), I think you're entitled to snag an image or technique here and there

Oleg, try the same thing - but from the front.
Then from a 1st Person perspective...

Just an idea.

Entirely as an art observer and not as a critic I like the B/W better. The second one is too complex in color for my simple mind.

Very nice, Mr Volk! Just keep doing it, and more winners will show up to cause great happiness in the forums!

By-the-way, remember myself? Kamikaze Bob. I was that guy who posted an article of yours on the Day of Defeat gamers History forum... lotta flamage there, though it isn't as bad anymore (because half of them are now banned )

Btw, next time I get my hands on a digital camera, I'll try to send ya some pics of an M16, a short-barrelled collapsable-stock semi-auto AR-15, an SKS w/bayonet and several different pistols, if you want them, because I noticed your gun gallery is a little incomplete when it comes to the more popular weapons, at least in Ohio (we're a bunch of gun-toting crazies, though everyone thinks us to be quiet mid-westerners )
