Barrel Damage?

I just got a used CZ 75 compact and wanted to clean it before I shot it. That's when I noticed this on the rear of the barrel:



do you see how the red side is missing a part of the "trim" compared to the yellow side? What is this? Will this effect the firing or some other negative effect? Do I need to replace it?

That's a clearance cut for the extractor.
You'll see it on a good many automatic pistol designs.

Lot's of good info at HighPowersandHandguns ... A little off topic, but am I the only one that is a little sad when they visit Mr. Camp's site?
