That doesn't seem to be a bad price. Academy had 9mm Winchester WB for $11.00/50 rd box, limit of 20 boxes as part of their Black Friday sales today.

The discount code does not seem to be working this morning.
I called in and they indicated that ammo can't be used with that or other coupons. It's still a good deal compared to many other sites.

Thanks

Since you can do just about as well at Wally World, I didn't bite.

FWIW, Cabella's had the same ammo slightly cheaper, free shipping, and I wouldn't have had to pay taxes on it, like Gander Mountain would have charged me.

I went ahead and bought some as it's cheaper than driving across town and there's no sales tax for me @ Gander Mountain.

I know there are a lot of Cabela's fans out there, but I haven't been impressed at the one in AZ.

You can get 500 rds for $81 at your wal-mart?

Where?

Cheapest 9mm at Wal-Mart is $9.47 - Tula. That is Russian stuff, cheapest American ammo is Federal/CCI at $10.47. After tax, that is $11.20.

500 Rds at Wal-Mart - $112.03

500 Rds at Gander (dead deal) - $81.47

Difference is $30.56 - order 1000rds, the difference is $71.12 - which is nearly 500rds more at Gander.

Thanks for posting it. I missed out this time, but we all need to keep in mind the fact the bubble has popped. Prices are trending downward rapidly. We may not see the $100 per 1000 again, but we will see $160.1000 delivered as a commonplace price point.

Patience and timing. http://thefiringline.com/forums/imag...lies/smile.gif
