I have one, seems fine for the price. Definitely has a good warranty.

I can't give a super rave opinion because I think I usually get what I pay for give or take a hundred for the name, but in this case so far it's been a winner. I can see the inside of the tube and a bit of blur around it's edge. I'm not 100% the turrent adjustments are accurate, but it has held zero real good. Alot of rounds.

I like it, I wish they would step into a bit higher market maybe the 200-250 range, to see what they do.

Did you get it with the Accu-Range or the 4-Plex reticle?
The Accu Range looks interesting but it also looks buisy.
Thanks for your input.

It's the one with the circle in the middle.
It wasn't my first choice but it was all they had in stock and it's REALLY nice. It grew on me, with using the center as a zero at 100, edge of the circle for200. I mainly use it for reloading testing but I think the rifle probobly beats scopes pretty good. And it holds zero.
Like I hope I implied, no complaints to stop me from trying a more expensive model if they expand the line.

I asked the same question your asking a few months back.

Mine.

ive got one just like it and a 4x12 too. They have good optics for the price and hold zero well but the ajustments suck! They are vague and not repeatable. there a great scope for someone who sights in with one load and leaves a gun alone but someone who is fooling with differnt bullet weights and loads will find them very frustrating.

I put a 3x9x40 ballistic reticle on my son's .270. It is a good scope for the money, the adjustments seem accurate, it is made in the USA and has a lifetime warranty backed by Leupold. For the money it is a deal that can't be beat. A lot of lesser foreign scopes cost more, and are of no better quality.

Just a side note, I went to a major sports store,,,,,,,, well let’s just say big G with a big hill in its name.
They keep their scopes in back with the guns. Walked back and after waiting 10 minutes for the “Gun Expert” shooting the bull with another “gun expert” on the reason you should only use 30 round mags in an AR, I finally got his attention and asked if he had any Redfield Scope.
“Redfield, what do you want one of those for?”
I then said “You don’t like Redfield?”
“Junk Jap ^%$#!”
“What about Nikon?” They had a bunch of Nikon
That put him at a loss, "They are good but too expensive!”
‘What about leupolds?”
“That is the best scope money can buy, stay away from that jap Redfield junk!” Which they had none.
Instead of shaking my head and walking away I said the following “Nikon which is built in Japan you think is ok, leupold is the best, and Redfield which is built in the US by leupolds is Jap junk?”
I called him a moron and walked out.

Nikon scopes are currently made in the Philippines, not Japan.
Nice try though.

Well I took the dive last weekend and ordered a Redfield 3 X 9 X 40mm 4 Plex scope from MidwayUSA.
I paid 144$ and change and could have saved a few dollars but I have been so happy with Midways service over the past couple of years that I went with them. I tend to stay with people that treat me the way Midway has.
I am very happy with my purchase but I do wish that scopes would automatically come with covers or at least state on the add that they don’t.
I have a friend that has a Leopold of the same power on his Ruger 77/44 and I will have to say this Redfield is as clear as his. The adjustment for power is actually much smother on mine.
Can’t say how it works shooting paper since I now have to wait till this weekend.
Thanks for everyones input.
P.S. on photo 28, that is not a scratch just under Redfield label.
One of my cats was helping me mount the scope and left some hair.

Just bought 2 of them today. a 2-7 and a 3-9. They are mounted on rifles and I plan on going to the range tomorrow. I'll have a better opinion then, but like what I see for now.

Took the gun out for the first time today.
Used lead and sighted it in at 50 then brought it closer with my normal jacketed that I like to use which is a 240 GR soft point then moved out to 100.
The two at the bottom,,, which was actually the top were the first two rounds fired (Yea upside down on the backstop). I moved the scope down the required number of clicks (1/4 inch per click at 100) and the rest show the results.
That’s about 25 rounds. The one off to the right was a drunkn sailor (I was in the Navy so it’s ok for me to say that). The majority were a little off center but with the cross wind I left it on the downwind side of the X.
I’m very happy with the Redfield

I have been very interested in that exact scope for my CZ 527M carbine in 7.62x39mm...whenever I can afford it. Thanks for the testing info.

My dad has an old (probably 20-25 yrs.) old Leupold 2x7x33 on a .308. I imagine it's very similar, if not an exact copy of this scope. Very nice scope on his little Rem. 660.

I have heard and read comments on the inaccuracy of the click adjustments. In that they are not always 1/4 inch per click. That was why when it was 4 in high the exact number of clicks brought it center.
I really can’t say much for the horizontal adjustment since (luck has it) even without a bore sight the gun was very close and required little adjustment. I also think this says a lot for Ruger Scope mounting/rings combination.
