Market for 9mm Luger brass?

Generally $15-$20 per thousand for once fired.

With 9mm among the least expensive ammo, it's the most difficult to justify reloading. That plus its abundance at the range means a relatively low price. Most reloaders have more of it than they can use, I know I do.

I've seen several auctions on gunbroker go for over $30 for 500 pieces of 9mm brass, but that was headstamp sorted, deprimed/resized, ultrasonic cleaned, and tumbled. Otherwise, 1000 pieces of assorted headstamp seems to go $20-$25 /1K.
I'm seriously considering financing my reloading equipment by cleaning and selling the brass I bring home from the range. For now, I'm just hoarding until I get the equipment to clean it up nice. |
