A stealthy first hunt...
Father and son went hunting together for the first time. The father said: "Stay here and be very still and QUIET. I'll be across the field." After a while the father heard his son screaming and jumping all around and he ran back to the boy. "What happened?" the father asked. The boy, bless his heart, answered; "Daddy, I was quiet when the rattlesnake slithered across my feet." I was very still when the bear sniffed and breathed down my neck. I didn't move a muscle when the skunk came around. I closed my eyes and held my breath when the wasp stung me. I didn't cough when I swallowed the gnats. But it was the 'last straw' when two squirrels crawled up my pant legs and said, 'Should we eat here or take-out?' |

Ah yes, the joys of pesky interference. I've had problems with ants, wasps, wild dogs, and coyotes (while turkey hunting...tried to eat me, thinking I was the turkey I was sounding like). What kinds of interfering animals do you guys come across?

I was deer hunting on stand in the Sierras (on a stump) and a Mountain Lion walked by at about 10 yards and stopped about 15 yards away and looked me right in the eye... and then just walked away...
They're protected in Kalifornica... |
