Typical defensive use (poster re-make)

Hi-res

Trying to simplify the graphic and keep the verse memorable/meaningful. Comments, suggestions?

Yo O

Doing that whole Understated Brit Thing, is it even necessary to show the weapon drawn? The copy itself I like a lot. Gosh, the gun itself is very pretty (the most high-tech looking wheelgun I've seen yet).

However, I think just showing the half-revealed handcannon carries the point across quite nicely.

Just my tuppence worth...

Very well done, Oleg.

You might be able to reword the last line slightly better. While technically correct, it seems slightly ambiguous to me.

What about:
Typical self-defense with a gun: No shots fired, no news headlines.
Simply an innocent life saved and a thug scared away.

Preserves the concentration on the saved life, but might be a little more clear.

Dang, that view makes that revolver look like a cannon.

Thanks for the advice: I finally have a very clear mental image of where this is going. Will re-do the graphic tonight and post it.

*grin* Very much so.

She may be small, but she has backup.

Somehow, I think that .42" bore would work better than just a poke in the eye...

Here's an updated version:

lovely nails, delicate hands, purse.. not easy to mistake for "just some guy" I don't think.

As to "defenseless female" ...

"Defenseless female"?

runt_ is the first human I've met who habitually carries as many or more weapons than I do. Your average mugger would be well advised to pick a safer target, perhaps a rabid bobcat or a wolverine with distemper or something.

Oleg....

*Holds right hand up, thumb and index finger in an "O"*

Beeee-yooty, mate. Gorgeous. Tells the whole story in the minimum number of memes. Lovely!

JohnAK: That's a female hand without question. Thumbnail length, tapered shape of thumb, shape of the thumb-joint interface with the wrist. Dat be girlie hand. Mens' hands are a slightly different shape, tend to be hairier, tend to have a more consistant finger-width down the length of the digit.

Disengaging Anatomy Mode before I scare anyone... *grins*

More so than just the weapons, runt has the right mindset. Ask her about the origin of "Leave us alone, or my sister will beat you up" phrase. Runt is definitely a peacemaker through superior fire control.

Oleg, how much would it cost to have this poster placed in a newspaper as an ad?

I had to cut all the fingernails short - they were digging into my palm while shooting and causing me to flinch. I still have one long thumbnail, good for gouging out eyeballs and picking noses and such.

"Leave us alone, or my sister will beat you up"
That was in middle school on the school bus, right after we moved to TN. One of the "jocks" thought we were easy targets and started pounding the crud out of the seat as hard as he could, and also letting off a whoopie cushion in our ears. My brother, 3 years older than me, turned around and calmly said, ""Leave us alone, or my sister will beat you up". The pounding stopped immediately, and that was the end of that.

Hey Oleg,
I've been a fan of your stuff for quite some time. And your photo skills and composition skills are fantastic. I was just wondering. What is the final destination of your images? I've seen them on other websites. Do you have them published as advertisements in magazines? I was just thinking that those images could get a lot of mileage, and I hope they are!

best regards,
t-man
