Replacement Foam for Rifle Cases
I have two old plano aw 52 and aw tactical 42 case that I am looking to replace the foam. Also for Vault V800. Where do you guys get yours at?
I searched online and found 2 that show up a lot: www.cobrafoaminserts.com www.carolinacustomfoam.com I don't mind getting foam that is not to size/shape. Looking for a harder type foam that is not the pluck foam material. Do not know the different foam types/names off hand. At one point I received samples of different foams from a company but I can no longer find it. Might have thrown that away. Thanks in advanced. |

You can get foam for your V800 via the Pelican site: https://www.pelican.com/us/en/access...oam-set/V800FS
Did you check the Plano site for foam replacements? |

I did see that same foam elsewhere online. A bit cheaper. Thanks.
The plano cases are very old, did not find any on the site. Maybe didn't search enough or correct, but no luck. |

There is an outfit called the Foam Factory that sells a variety of foam products. They have several foam types that may work for gun cases, for example see their open cell foam selections or their packaging foam. In the pick and pluck section they also have solid foam selections in sizes for gun cases. I haven't had to replace foam yet, but this is where I would start.

I have bought most of the replacement, and new foam, from Amazon.

Just as LeverGunFan has said, try the Foam Factory.
I bought a sheet of eggcrate firm foam for some rifle cases. Worked great two rifle cases and a used briefcase. The briefcase was in good condition and came with keys. No one knows what kind of fire power it contains since it looks very unassuming. |
