Lee Loaders

I used to have a RCBS Rock Chucker it and all the reloading stuff with it got lost in a move. Are the Lee presses as stiff as the RCBS/Hornady's, I will be reloading rifle only and do not want a springy press. But right now on a buget, but do not want to buy something that cost less to be unhappy with every stroke of the arm either.

Look at the "Remember These" thread and you'll see what a Lee Loader is. What you are asking about is Lee loading presses. Different animal. If you buy the Lee Classic Cast press, it is cast iron and every bit as rigid as the other presses you mentioned, plus having a bigger throat and at less than half the price, especially if you catch a sale. Best single-stage press bargain available, IMHO.

If you go to their Classic Cast Turret Press, it is also rigid and you get more features, but it costs more, too. Your choice.

Lee classic works great for me. The only Lee product I have not been completly satisfied with is thier safety scale.

The Lee "Classic" line of presses will do just fine. The Classic Cast and the Classic Turret are both good products. I own the Classic Turret. I also have a Lee Breech Lock challenger which was fine as well. Just a bit slow for my needs on handgun calibers. For many rifle calibers, it would likely work ok. Bigger magnum stuff might not be ideal, however. If you going to find flex...

+1 on the Lee scale. I used the Lee scale once, and only once. While it will do the job, I found it unnecessarily cumbersome.

I have the turret and it works very well. I like how you can buy extra plates and leave your dies set up in them. It really speeds up changing calibers.

Yes I did mean a press like the Classic, but you figured that out because I was comparing it to a Rock Chucker.
