I'm going to put one on my replacement wood stock (shortened). Which one is best in your opinion?

Thanks,

I like the old English pad for looks, all of them I've tried seem to work about the same.

Since this is a 590, looks probably aren't a high priority. Since felt recoil is dependent in some aprt on pad size, I suggest leaving it untrimmed. It'll look like heck but work fine.

I like PAST pads on my guns. I find that they do a better job of absorbing recoil for me.

But, they don't look as good.
