I'm getting ready to start loading some rounds for my Ruger Mark 2 all-weather rifle in 7 rem mag. I'll be using 139gr. Hornady ballistic tip bullets. What powder should I use? I've heard that RL-22 and H-1000 work good in the 7 mag. What do you use?

When I was loading for 7mm Rem Mag, I used IMR4831 and W785. 'Don't think the W785 is still available.

For the 139-140 grain I find that H4831 is a good powder that also includes the 150 grain bullets. Above 150 grains I switch to H870, H1000 or IMR7828 depending on the bullet used. They are all accurate depending which bullet is used.

Second the H4831. Both original and short cut work very well. Best of luck.
