The MAK90 does hold twice the rounds (or are all those SKS extended mag owners out there really bothering to comply with 922r all the way ?) It's a moot point though, since the VZ is better than both (lighter gun, smaller gun, lighter mags, bolt catch, equal or less recoil, easier field stripping, nicer made than most AKs)

Any RPD owners out there? Any thoughts on those?

Its called the Tapco 922r compliance kit. About $100.

I have 10, 20, 30 & 40 round mags for my type 56. All have been 100% reliable.

The number one cause of death in the 20th century. 290,000,000 citizens were first disarmed and then murdered by their own governments. This number does not include those killed in war.

mine was cheaper, $20 for a stock, $20 for the mag. complete compliance.

If a VZ-58 in very good condition were offered for about $400, I would buy it in a flash. The Yugo M59 was too hard to resist at $375, and looks almost unfired.

With two 7.62x39 guns, would rather invest in more ammo versus a third such rifle.
